I don’t have an old computer that needs an ide boot thingy but I already made a usbode using a pi zero and I’m looking forward to stuffing it with all my backed up DOS CD games for the convenience

These Majuular Ultima documentaries are amazing. I can’t always get through in one viewing but I can’t wait to click when I see a new one. I don’t understand how he can make these so quickly given how well-researched and loaded with info they are.

I think it’s finally come into focus for me why I find so much satisfaction tinkering with Pi devices. I spent an hour tonight getting Ubuntu set up on a laptop enclosure for the CM5, built and installed a custom battery driver someone made, setup flathub and installed libreoffice via flatpak 1/

It’s impressive just how much functionality talented hobbyists can add to an otherwise simple machine. It’s all a bit involved for me—I decided a while ago I’m a manual lever man and cherish my Cafelat Robot—but I love projects like these.
