Our next Disney song inspired colorway is Colors of the Wind. It features repeating shades of sunflower yellow, rich gold, teal green, lilac, and deep eggplant that capture the hues that swirl through the air around Pocahontas during the song.

You may have noticed my (not so subtle) hints having to do with some of my favorite songs from Disney soundtracks and lots and lots of fiber. 🎶🤭 I’ve had the idea to do something like a Disney’s Sing-a-long collection for awhile now, but lately I’ve been finding myself randomly turning on my Disney songs playlist as a way to escape reality and the never ending chaos of today’s news cycle. Combining that happy place with the creative outlet of dyeing fiber has brought me comfort and fulfillment over the last several weeks and it’s a habit I hope I can keep up whenever I have some spare time & fiber in the studio. So let me introduce our first batch of fiber inspired by some of my favorite Disney songs! I hope they can bring a little bit of joy and magic to you, just as they have for me. ✨ The first song I absolutely knew I wanted to dye a colorway for was UNDER THE SEA from The Little Mermaid. That soundtrack was truly the hardest to narrow down to just one song. The whole thing is just jammed full of my favorites, but the scene and the song are just so colorful and upbeat that I could immediately imagine the colorway I wanted to create. Our Disney inspired fiber will be available May 10 at 4pm MT. These braids are ready to ship, but our inventory will be limited in this first drop as we gauge interest in this idea.
Disney songs + creating new colorways in the dye pans have been my go to escape from reality lately. So I’ve combined the two to make some new hand dyed fiber inspired by some of my favorite Disney songs.

On the red scale, this one leans more orange than the reds I typically dye and I am way more obsessed with it than I thought I would be. Am I becoming an orange-red person?! I want to make all the summer tops in this color and just live my best life as a tomato person soaking up the sun. Hot House is the perfect pairing with Beauty Queen to give your mood and your yarn stash a pure injection of summer warmth and whimsy. I cannot imagine more cheerful duo. BEAUTY QUEEN 👸 February’s inspiration lives up to its name, being one of the most beautiful (and yummy) tomatoes that I added to my garden last summer. I love watching the green tomatoes subtly shift to shades of pale yellow and then to gold with streaks of orange and coral. Our Beauty Queen colorway features a swirling base of straw yellow and tangerine with streaks of coral and speckles of golden yellow and bright peach.
