I was curious to see what they did though. You never know what’s going to work or what some creator is thinking until you actually see the thing. Like I know Andor was an oddity but also Gilroy was “wasting his time on Disney trash” until people actually saw it.

Which I think is even truer if what you want to do is any kind of sequel. Like the one obvious thing to do with BUFFY is "fix" the thing where it was set in Whendon's even then inexplicably monotone Southern California.

Can't say I'm surprised. I mean BUFFY kind of has the same problem as BLADE. It was rare air originally but has been so relentlessly-aggressively copied since that there isn't much left to do.
