I see. I see a lot of people use specialized tools, e.g. nix-wrapper-modules or app specific like nixvim, but I prefer keeping my conf files in the original language
so I created my own symlink manager for that, that also deals with different OSes, and is lua configurable. Will prob keep using that

Alright, question: One thing I did not like about NixOS was managing dotfiles. I found I end up preferring something like chezmoi, or now my own symlink manager.
Home Manager vs NixOS package management also has always seemed superfluous
Do you all use home manager? And to manage dotfiles too?

How's your day going?

That way they're gating you in, so you don't go off and use some other modles for certain tasks, instead using claude for everything

Same reason why they made the claude subscription only available to claude code/the claude website

iβm not a fan of the increase in anti-social behavior weβre seeing in the Atmosphere developer community latelyβ¦ thereβs snark, making fun of newcomersβ mistakes, fixations on perceived slights, & even some targeted aggression/hubris
this too is Atmosphere pollution and will not help any of us

A dark-themed UI design system titled "Kickback" in orange. In the top right, a dropdown menu labeled "THEME" is set to "System." Under a large "Components" heading, a "BUTTONS" section displays four buttons: "PRIMARY ACTION" (orange), "SECONDARY ACTION" (purple), "DELETE ITEM" (red), and "OUTLINE STYLE" (black with white border). Below, a "DETAILS & DISCLOSURE" section features two expanded menus with orange side accents. The first is "What is Kickback?", containing the text: "Kickback is a modern music library manager built for people who care about their collection. It integrates with Beets to keep your metadata pristine." The second is "Advanced Configuration," containing the text: "You can configure your library path in the settings menu," followed by an underlined "OPEN SETTINGS" button.
I spent way too much time doing these simple components. Inspired by GOV.UK's design system, I'm trying to build a personal app that doesn't rely on complicated components for a change.

Yup I like using opencode thoughtfully, for things that I don't mind being that lazy about, or where I'm better at editing than creating. So for some boilerplate basically

Will check them out as well, thanks for the rec!

Hey thanks for the feedback! There should be workarounds for all of those tbh. I can share some playgrounds, but if you could share a svelte REPL with what you're doing I may be able to help better

Saw a Reddit post about a show that was ai upscaled in a streaming service.
Self hosting media becomes more and more appealing every day. When movies and music gets replaced by crappy versions and you can't access the original ones... Its so backwards
