i hate to ask bc i always do but we really need a few necessities (toilet paper, cat litter, food) and iβm already making a ton of klarna payments to keep up π₯ literally like another $40 or $50 would help us get what we need for today at least
I do have my regular commission clients and tbh it makes me a bit teary when folks come back to me for more art. Like I feel I'm doing something good to make it work
--going as fast as wips get approved, rather than having a demanding day job that sucks out any spare spoons I have.
Because I know there are horror stories of flakey artists out there, I try to circumvent it by doing a rough heavily watermarked sketch before payment. At worst, if I am being ghosted, I can use the pose for something else.
Luckily, I am fortunate enough to be able to focus and be speedy on comms--
ppl who still commission their favourite artists even in this era where everyone is broke and genAI is being pushed on us at every opportunityβyou are appreciated more than words can express!!!
