Today the EU Parliament said NO. β
Voluntary scanning by Outlook, Gmail, LinkedIn, etc. might come to an end on April 6 in the EU. Keep pushing everyone! ππ₯³
We've seen this happen over and over and over again. None of them are going to care if digestion is painless or sentient. They haven't cared about those subtle distinctions with the past 10 kinks; vore isn't special. We're all gonna get lumped in as snuff. It will all get treated as sexual violence.
I also think that a lot of endo/non-fatal vore blurs the line between consent and nonconsent, and that if you're putting an asterisk on a piece saying "don't worry, they reform"..
Do you think that'll matter to them? The line will be: "reformation/endo is just a technicality, it's still the same."
Regardless of how cute or non-graphic or unrealistic you make it, I think fatal vorefurs are sticking their head in the sand if you think that "a kink where one of the subjects dies" isn't going to be protrayed by payment processors and platforms as snuff.
I think it is extremely naive, just pure denialism to say that "sexualized depiction of death" can not be used to ban fatal vore in general.
I don't care if your work even has a penis in it. Vore is a fetish - ask hypnotist kinksters if subtle distinctions about noncon are understood by platforms.
Screenshot of terms: Extreme Gore and Violent Sexual Content Content may not depict sexualized violence or extreme graphic harm, including explicit dismemberment, exposed organs, graphic mutilation, or sexualized depictions of death or execution. Stylized violence comparable to films, comics, or video games may be permitted when not graphic or sexualized.
The current Subscribestar ToS is still incompatible with my artwork.
My reading is that it bans fatal vore entirely. Will it be enforced that way? That's the fun of this situation, it can be enforced whenever they want and ignored whenever they want, and either way they'll take the high ground.
Devs on Bluesky were happy to say that nothing was changing. Not a single one of them was willing to post the words: "Fictional noncon is allowed on Bluesky."
The word gaslighting gets overused a lot, but lying to users and saying that policy restrictions "have always been in place" is gaslighting.
But remember that strategy because "nothing is changing" is a phrase that you will hear over and over and over and over and over again on every single platform that goes after sex workers.
And notice that it will never be followed up by explicit clear, official protections for sex workers.
Subscribestar's message pulls that same strategy, but the context makes it so incredibly obvious that the ToS is meaningfully different. Even if they don't start banning artists tomorrow, even if they sit on it for months.
The room has changed, and they can't pretend otherwise.
What platforms cracking down on NSFW want is ambiguity - they want the license to ban anyone without the expectation or obilgation that anypony will be banned.
They want artists to exist in a kind of limbo - no rights from the platform, no ToS protections, just vibes.
When websites pull this shit, you'll see a lot of "nothing is changing", but a pathological avoidance of saying things like "<fetish> is explicitly allowed."
That ambiguity means that later, when terms start getting enforced, you can pivot seamlessly to, "why didn't you read the ToS, artists?"
Subscribestar isn't unique though. Subscribestar is (clumsily) executing on the same strategy that every. single. site. that clamps down on NSFW tries.
You add new terms. You claim you didn't add new terms. You refuse to clarify on the record. Then you enforce them arbitrarily.
But Subscribestar being a platform that very directly positioned itself as "we allow fictional topics that Patreon won't allow" - there's just no way to phrase "noncon is banned" as anything other than a change.
Bluesky can get away with adding doubt and refusing to answer questions. SS can't.
"The sun sucks, dude."
There are so many bad internet bills that it's hard to keep track of them all. @fightfortheftr has compiled all of them on one page. Take action on all of them here: badinternetbills.com
Those into taboo kink are not your enemies. Noncon, incest, feral, guro, cub, lolisho, all of these extremes, in fantasy, in art, in play, are in a whole different universe compared to actual abuse. The freaks care way more about preventing sex crime than Republicans, CEOs, and fucking youth pastors
This is literally what's happening in the US right now and you're wasting your breath chasing kink ghosts, appeasing fascist pigs.
I was SA'd as a child. You aren't speaking for me, you aren't defending me, you're just using people like me as a front.
Fix your heart.

When it rains, it's pours...
We have pushed the truck past where it should've been repaired, and it's now smoking badly, and the rear end was brakes where red when we came to a stop tonight.
I NEED HELP! Please!

Screenshot of blog post: Any ambiguous updates to the ToS have been reverted. If anyone is concerned about the ToS or content policy, please note that these updates do not change our operations or screening processes. They are simply intended to make certain points more explicit for compliance purposes, not to introduce any form of censorship. We will continue refining the wording to make the policies clearer.
I think Subscribestar is useful in that it makes a very standard walkback tactic more obvious. Bluesky did the same thing about it's ToS changes ("nothing is changing, we're just clarifying").
What platforms do is introduce new restrictions, say "no we didn't" and then just leave it in limbo.
a woman who thinks that all parents are abusers can only be interpreted as people doing so out of spite for all these puritanical diet fash.
until paraphile discourse breaks containment and becomes a culture war issue. In other words, the people who screech about shit "normalizing pedophillia" are the ones who are most likely to normalize it themselves. And the fact that you have a bunch of people rallying behind .
because that's never BEEN their concern! It would be giving people way too much good faith to assume it's anything beyond "me no like icky yucky kink stuff!" It comes down to that EVERY time. And because of this, this shit will escalate,
Yeah, I think I see why the RadQueer movement is becoming movement is becoming more popular, because Antis can't just say "I'm concerned about the tendency of fringe leftists groups to encourage self isolation and martyr ship for the sake of a cause to a group of vulnerable young people"
Okay, I've done some more looking into this, and it's even weirder, by which I mean the people who despise ISFF seem to consist of the same type of woke Kiwi Farmers that have also spent the past few years stalking me and my friends.
I say it often and I say it again. People intuitively (and correctly) understand CSA is wrong, but they misunderstand why.
They focus on aesthetics, height, features, clothing or mannerisms, instead of on the abuse of vulnerability.
An adult looking "childish" does NOT make them a child.
This is really awful, and I'm reminded that the NYAG cited games journalism in its case against Valve... we must be careful not to be tools of the age verification menace
Then that proved it, the whole fucking lawsuit was nothing about protecting kids from gambling but to push invasion anti privacy identity verification on yet another platform.
Let this sync in: literal PDPhiles across the world, let alone in the US and in congress are actively being protected by the same βPuritansβ that want us dead. I think itβs time we get more comfortable with being bigger assholes to all puritans and ESPECIALLY puritan parents
