Feeling spread thin these days but also craving a bit of creative work so I gave myself a little, easygoing project to tackle. Going to make a colour poster of this ink drawing for the cat horror movie Hungry are the Damned. Just putting down some base colours, trying out a palette to start.

Black and white photo of four kittens spilling out of a basket that seems to be partially full of sticks or vines or something. I have one or two laser toner of this left. I had pulled it as I wanted to either reimage it or enhance the image file I have before putting it up again as a giclee print. The toner image is good but i thought I could make it better. I could make an order for the toner or new giclee.

Truly an exceptional specimen

he sold only 1 painting in his lifetime and died young. The fact we let this happen to artists still is a tragedy. He was worth something, but many in his community let him down cuz they couldnt see his value.

With my artwork, I've definitely found a niche that works. I get by, but mostly it is not from originals, but prints. I think on average I sell three small paintings a year. If I relied on it I'd be done.

I guess Im trying to say that there may be nothing wrong with your art practice or even selling as such. This is not to say that things cannot be done or improved, but fine art is a tough sell and the social conditions and formal rules can make it harder.
