Lol... Well she's right.
It's notable to me that after years of fear-mongering about trans women playing sports, Republican leaders are now so emboldened that they won't even acknowledge that trans people exist. Almost like it was never really about sports.
Switching to BlueSky is SO close to putting down your phone and going outside.
Happ cat day. Is it me or is there an eye missing? 🤔

Yeah, I tried them once too. They're not "bad", just not what I was expecting.
Every once in a while I encounter someone driving by in an intentionally loud motorcycle blaring music from on-board speakers designed to be heard over the souped-up roar and I marvel at the variety inherent in the human condition that allows both myself & such a person to exist as the same species
A cluster of tiny orange mushrooms on a log
A closeup of moss on a rock with the sunrise behind
A tiny toad beside a log
A stream through some trees. There are fall leaves on the ground and the sun is filtering through the trees
Touching grass isn’t enough, I need wet leaves and moss and mushrooms. I need to be charmed by a toad.
Amazing!!
"A striking image of NGC 6888, known as the Crescent Nebula, set against a rich star-filled backdrop. The nebula, located in the constellation Cygnus, appears as a delicate, glowing arc of gas, with vivid hues of orange and blue highlighting its intricate structure. The wispy outer edges of the nebula extend into the surrounding space, creating a dynamic, almost ethereal appearance. This nebula, formed by powerful stellar winds from its central star, stands out beautifully amidst the surrounding stars, each twinkling with varying intensity and color."
"A magnificent image of Messier 81, a grand design spiral galaxy located approximately 12 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. The galaxy’s bright, golden core is surrounded by tightly wound spiral arms, which are subtly highlighted by pink regions indicating star-forming areas. The surrounding space is filled with countless stars, each adding to the depth and scale of this cosmic scene. The delicate structure of the galaxy’s arms and the contrast between the warm central glow and the cooler outer regions make Bode's Galaxy a captivating sight in the vastness of space."
"An intense and captivating image of Messier 82, commonly known as the Cigar Galaxy, located approximately 12 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. The galaxy is seen edge-on, with a bright, elongated core emitting a striking burst of red and orange hues, indicative of vigorous star formation. The surrounding space is dotted with stars, but the galaxy itself commands attention with its dramatic, almost fiery appearance, a hallmark of its classification as a starburst galaxy. The contrast between the glowing core and the darker outer regions highlights the dynamic activity within this remarkable celestial object."
"A breathtaking capture of IC 5146, known as the Cocoon Nebula, located in the constellation Cygnus. The nebula is beautifully highlighted in a vibrant pink color, surrounded by a dense field of stars. The central region of the nebula glows brightly due to the emission and reflection of light from nearby stars, contrasting with the dark, dusty clouds enveloping it. The surrounding star field is rich and varied, with numerous stars twinkling in shades of blue and gold, adding depth and scale to this stunning celestial scene."
I ran out of #space pictures 😅 here are some of the highlights from my years with the telescope ✨🔭
