I love my pink bike; no surprise that I enjoyed this build video. RUNE bikes are beautiful, and relatively affordable -- this frameset is 800 GBP youtu.be/rOGc1ZeJpL8?...

A week after this post, I finally figured out that if I kick *much less* and go slower, I can swim for much farther (duh). I went from struggling to finish 50m or 75m to cruising through 200m. Easier = better!
Getting featured in the Billy Penn newsletter - it's a dream come true! Still feeling all the good feels from our collab with @sarahmackattack.bsky.social
Hey it's the Order of the Green Knight
Hell yeah, got a write up in Billy Penn about the @wednightrides.org @skypeascientist.bsky.social collab.
Cyclists chucked seed bombs in abandoned lots last week. Wholesome as hell.

Trying to explain to my budgeting app that sometimes Wawa is a gas station, sometimes it's a coffee shop, other times a restaurant. Conceivably even a grocery store
Garbage text, word salad, AI output
Part of Gemini's recommendation of a Colorado shop to me based on a search for bike fits in Philadelphia. But don't fret, this tech's gonna replace all knowledge workers in the next few years
Local cyclists are helping native species thrive by scattering 'seed bombs' around North Philly. Billy Penn joined a Wednesday Night Rides and Skype a Scientist for a ride to learn more. billypenn.com/2026/03/11/p...
We don't ride today, we ride every two weeks

you can sum up Philadelphia's infrastructure pretty tidily by just pointing out that this person didn't throw away their BIG HOLE sign because they knew they'd need it again

No place I'd rather be on a damp Wednesday night
And theyβre off!! 800 seed bombs loaded up with native seeds coming to an abandoned lot near you π
I'm sad! This place mattered to me. I've spent many fine afternoons in Rittenhouse Square with a Metro cookie. And their shortbread recipe has been life-changing, the best cookie I've ever made at home
60 riders showed up on a damp, cool March night to scatter native plant seeds across our city. I can't wait to see flowers along our route this summer. Thanks to @sarahmackattack.bsky.social for leading this amazing native plants project and for the seed bombs! And to our volunteers and riders
a box of little brown balls of clay and dirt and seeds in a philly pretzel factory box
Ready to supply ~100 cyclists w/seed bombs for our city's abandoned lots at tonight's @wednightrides.org!
They contain 6-7 species of native plant seeds to juice up the biodiversity of our city, incl.
Ironweed
Echinacea
Partidge Pea
Bee Balm
Blue Vervain
Blackeyed Susan
Swamp Milkweed (sometimes)
I ride my bike past this thing all the time, didn't know
On change: My local library closed for a time for repairs. I started going to a different branch. There's a great cafe nearby. Now every Sat, my family goes to the cafe and the library. I've even switched my holds to the new branch. Never would have happened if my library hadn't closed for repairs.
Mar 4 // Thrilled to collaborate with @sarahmackattack.bsky.social (artist, science communicator extraordinaire & "Philly's favorite squid scientist"): our ride is 1 part of her huge effort to sow native plant seeds across our city to restore native species & create habitat for local creatures.

20 absolute cutie patooties gather around a very long table with a gazillion seed packets on the tables
4600 additional seed packets were assembled by a team of ~50 volunteers tonight!
We are getting together, we are gossiping about the losers we have crushes on (heβs not so bad!) we are listening to yacht rock, we are supporting biodiversity in our chaotic wonderful city.
Today would be a wonderful day for a long, 5 or 6 hour bike ride. You'd start off chilly and frosted, but warm up in the sunshine, shedding layers in the afternoon rays
Thrilled to be quoted in this @billy-penn.bsky.social story on @sarahmackattack.bsky.social's amazing native plant project, which includes the @wednightrides.org collab ride we have planned for March 4th to scatter seed bombs!
