pre windows 10 updates were genuinely unbearably slow

whenever i see people in the modern day talk about how good windows 7 is i think about the many times i had to reinstall windows 7 when i was a child due to me getting malware on the system and the update system being so god awful it would take the entire fucking day for it to finish

its hard to feel like its not when this is a constant thing
