Not exactly, I didn’t start this discussion! I’m not Starmer bashing, I think he’s doing a decent job overall, but his decision making regarding Mandleson was poor.
I’m merely adding my own thoughts to a public post on social media.

I’m not ‘going along’ with the media’s double standards, but they exist and Starmer has to be aware and deal accordingly as a Labour prime minister.
To be fair that incident was reported at the time and Johnson was criticised. I accept that he was held to a different standard but Starmer must be aware of the RW press bias and deal with it appropriately.
I get that, but no matter how it’s dressed up, the negatives outweigh the positives.
The issue is everyone knew Mandleson was as dodgy as a used car salesman.
There were government advisers questioning the proposed appointment at the time. There were so many red flags.
I’m sorry but it shows extremely poor judgement.
Don’t forget Farage wants to overturn the ban!
Whilst I don’t think they should be calling for Starmer’s resignation, the Mandleson appointment clearly had so many red flags even without the benefit of hindsight.
This was a completely avoidable own goal that has left him vulnerable and open to criticism.
I saw them supporting The Killers a few years ago. They were fantastic. Still sounding great.
