My income from writing does not (thus far) make a profit, it only offsets my time and other investments. So less money to go around means my already fairly expensive hobby becomes still more expensive.

It's not like there is a shortage of good books and good writers, despite the fact that 99 percent of authors can't make a living writing novels. AI won't make novels better or more accessible, but they will make writing novels more costly and less rewarding for actual humans.
