Is it just me or do a lot more @github.com API endpoints now require authentication? These days it feels like almost everything required auth. I’d check the history but the commit messages aren’t very informative and the UI refuses to render the diffs. github.com/github/rest-...

At this point getting groceries delivered is way more civilised. Supermarkets are running a mass experiment on how much bullshit customers will tolerate. They keep one upping each other and getting away with it because of the cosy duopoly.

I learned about this at the 1Password booth at ReInvent. Such a cool feature. I keep forgetting to use it. Old methods die slowly :(

Nice! I’m using a micro desktop because I was being cheap. I’ll take your advice and add another aws account to my org. Care to share the code?

You make MCPs sound like Jira. Does that mean skills and CLIs are linear?

Oh god no! They can have Open AI. I hope Amazon buy Anthropic. It would be a better outcome.

I’ve lived in Canberra for 6 years. I travel to Sydney every month or so. I did the train a few times. Last minute cancellations, late arrivals, lack of 5G and infrequent schedule mean I’d rather pay $300 each way to fly. The train at $100 isn’t worth it. I’d happily $300 return for a good train.

Recovering lost code Reached the stage of parallel agent psychosis where I've lost a whole feature - I know I had it yesterday, but I can't seem to find the branch or worktree …

Twice in recent weeks I've had to work with Claude Code to script recovery of a project from ~/.claude/project after human eΜΆrΜΆrΜΆoΜΆrΜΆ stupidity. Both times I was able to recover it.

I feel better knowing even very smart people like @simonwillison.net have done this too. simonwillison.net/2026/Feb/19/...

This is why friends don’t let friends use Kiro. We use Claude Code instead.

On a more serious note, giving a coding agent write access to production is the engineering version of juggling chainsaws. Cool trick, but you don’t want it to go wrong.

I’ve spent a lot of time in that area. I grew up not far from there. When my kids were little we’d do day trips across there and mountains further out. Lovely part of the world. Great wines too.

The Bending Spoons acquisition was a bad sign. I wanted to bail when I was promoted for my relationship status last year. The constant upsells motivated me to make the switch for 2026.

There’s a few crypto bros things in Luna, but overall it is a way better platform for attendees and organisers.

It’s one of the downside of living in the capital. I give anyone driving a DC/DX plated car plenty of room.

Last week I had to give @lizthegrey.com the β€œlight blue plate talk”. She stepped out in front of a diplomatic car in Civic 😬 She survived to tell the story.
