I'm Aaron and I make things for the web. I sunlight as a Software Engineer for @RootInsurance, formerly @StreetEasy. I'm passionate about #rubylang but dabble in a little bit of #rust #javascript and #typescript. My opinions are my own. He/Him/His

Imagine pulling the trigger on a hostile takeover just so you can be a total ass to the community propping up "your" project...

Dude says "it's quiet in here" and gets this in response: github.com/ruby/rubygem....
@indirect.io responded, kindly, and got his response deleted and banned from the discussion.
Maybe #bundler has become contributor hostile?
It's out! jj 0.39.0! today! now! RIGHT NOW!!! github.com/jj-vcs/jj/re...

back in my day *cough* we only had *bong rip* toke'n anxiety if you know what i mean *cough*
IDK do you?
Iβve got so many things to say here, and not much time to say it
What I can say is, unlike dec -> early Jan, the last few weeks have been a period of quiet for me. I was talking before about how I had +700kloc then? Itβs been zero the last few weeks.

I made a terminal dashboard for Honeybadger that lets you visualize your errors, logs, and performance metrics from the command line.
It's written in Rust and uses YAML dashboards you can export directly from HB.
You can install it with Homebrew β lmk if you try it!

Andrew nails here many parts of what actually makes OSS maintaining hard work.
Empathy is needed more for OSS sustainability than money.
I don't understand the dismay tbh... it's what they've done with all of their models.
IMO let em fork it who gives af it'll never be the canonical git.
rv has a big release, with windows support and gem CLI tools! the fastest way to generate a rails app is now `brew install rv; rvx rails new`. check it out: https://spinel.coop/blog/rv-0.5-cli-tools-windows/
Most of the time the challenge is just finding the spec for the space... As long as it has a transition to XYZ we can use it. Farg is still fairly new so I'm not too sure what user adoption looks like just yet.
I have released farg v0.4.0 with new color spaces, gamut mapping, and contrast features. Be sure to check it out!

Also the docs on doc.rs are enqueued and should be there by tomorrow I hope.
Yes, I have plans to support ~70 different color spaces. The Oklab family is pretty high up on the priority list as well.
Keep pimpin playa, you got this. Sending hugs, good vibes, and well wishes.
I'm happy to announce I've just published the first version of my new rust colorimetry library, Farg. I've got **a lot** more features planned in the coming months so keep an eye out.

Hey @warp.dev why can't I drag a tab out of the current window and create a new window?
Yo go see my buddy @kow.fm at XO ruby this summer. It's going to be lit.
