I felt like i was really incompetent and this was a sign of my age as i had been good at learning new apps in the past. But then i realised that Teams is basically crap, a badly designed unproductivity app, and doing simple things is made very complicated.

It doesnt really apply in maths and science either. To make their preferred teaching approach fit, maths is shaped into something that has little relationship to what people do in their lives with maths or what mathematicians do.
I know some people really like the idea that there is 'one best way' of teaching because if there's a regular, predictable pattern and method it can be observed and replicated. But it just isn't true in the phases and subjects that I've worked with during my career (early years, drama, English).
