石段のあたりに漂う香りに気づき、思わず立ち止まってしまった～

風に乗ってふっと届いた香りに気付いた一瞬～

沈丁花は、クチナシ、キンモクセイとともに、日本の三大芳香木の一つに数えられ、手毬のように小さく固まった花姿ながら、遠くまで届く強い香りを持ち、古くから「香りで春を知らせる花」として親しまれてきました。

花姿より先に香りが人を引き留める～沈丁花は、そんな春の気配を運んでくる大好きな花なのです🐱

Three mansions, all several stories high, sit on the side of a canal. The one on the right is red brick with a line of grey bricks in stripes around the property. It has a dark grey roof and a turret on the back. A weeping willow hangs over the canal in front of the house. The one in the middle is also red brick with a light grey roof. It has white bricks on the corners and an ornate white design around the top windows. Only part of the third property is visible and it has a tall turret on the front, rising behind and above a large tree. A boat is moored under the weeping willow and another boat, with a passenger in a pink jacket, is travelling along the canal. Each of these mansions has many windows with a beautiful view of the canal.
