Lots of fun for our annual #Hackathon! 5th & 6th graders got together for two hours and had to solve five coding problems, and also create a nice poster based off Matisse artwork. They used #Ozobot, #Maqueen #Scratch and a PixelArt program. #LyceeChicago

Still impressed by code.org to teach basic block coding skills to K students. Curriculum is awesome, with a mix of online activities and unplugged ones, setting up a class is a breeze, student connection is fun and easy, privacy is great. All for free ! #EduSky

How to protect yourself on the net? How about by not putting your picture everywhere? With our 3rd graders, we created avatars using www.nevacross.com and ladigitale.dev/digiface/#/. You get to choose what face you want to present to the world! They put those avatars as their account image. 🤳🤪🧙♂️🫥
French competition #ConcoursCastor is just short activities you have to solve using logic. Our 4th and 5th graders love it because you have to keep trying and no knowledge prerequisite. Many students have a newfound self confidence when doing it !

Code.org offers truly nice coding curriculums that students can do with just a little help. Login with image is easy, no need to read for my K students, challenges are fun! Great way to learn coding with blocks. #LyceeChicago
