I think there is so much beauty in Gen 1, as a passion project from a team that was going bankrupt and spent 6 years in a game for a dying console, because they wanted to share their childhood memories.
And it's a a pity that some younger Pokémon fans skip this experience!

We are getting ports of FRLG but not of Gen 1, and according to the Pokémon Company it's because these "are the ultimate versions of Kanto".
Which is weird because... why do I feel that Gen 1 kinda... looks better? It makes no sense?
