A picture of tracking my reads on my blog. 120 books read!!

Happy new year!

Massive goal unlocked: I read 120 books this year (yes, at least half were audio books).

I've been tracking them on my website with a plugin I created called "My Reads": n8finch.com/bookshelf/

Check it out if you want to track and share what you're reading.

WIPW: Highland games, plugin updates, etc. | Nate Finch Worked on a lot of stuff this week like highland games prep, my My Reads plugin, audio recording, and updated my Git commands.

A little later than I would have liked, but I had fun this week... Highland games prep, audio recording... it was a good week ☺️...

Did we all just test out Laravel Cloud 🀩???

So nice... Wow...

Does anyone know if SQLite support is in the works? I've missed any documentation/roadmap/chatter about that.

Well done, folks πŸ‘

Been digging into and testing the Interactivity API in #wordpress. It's very nice and pretty straightforward. Was able to reduce a custom block's 200+ lines of JS into under 70, and things make waaaaaaay more sense, and is easier to manage. πŸ€“

Big thanks to all who contributed to it! πŸ‘

Heck yeah! Get after it! 😁πŸ’ͺ

Same. I didn’t grow up lifting or working out. Wish I had. Hoping to model that for my kids too.

On being a "community taught" developer | Nate Finch This is a post from a place of humbleness and gratitude. This has been my journey within development and it might be different from yours. Take what is helpful, learn, and pass on the gratitude. Web d...

In the last few years, I've been thinking of myself as and telling people that I'm a "community-taught developer".

It seems more honest and seems a better way to acknowledge and thank the people that have helped me along the way...

How about you?

Aligning Automattic’s Sponsored Contributions to WordPress Automattic has always been deeply committed to the success of WordPress, dedicating significant resources and talent to its development for almost two decades. However, we’ve observed an imbalance …

Wow. πŸ˜‘

Why is a8c matching who they perceive to be the worst in the space?

Why is β€œcommunity” in quotes?

I continue to be really disappointed in Matt’s decisions, rhetoric, and stubbornness.

This post has the opposite effect it’s intending I think.
