The "Hype" feature on YouTube is clearly being exploited by bots to boost certain videos (mostly AI slop and Far Right nonsense).

I've found that 1 "Hype" on a video of mine can almost double the number of exposures I get in the algorithm. Now imagine that at scale...

I missed this - it's outrageous. If you make a sports video game and you want to put real players in it, you have to licence them. I don't see how this is in any way different. If they want to use real people in their product, they should have to get permission and pay them.

Chromebooks serve a specific market. Some folk need to realise that not everyone needs an all singing all dancing PC. A lot of people do just send emails, browse the web, etc. And a Chromebook is perfect for that.

Yeah. I got into a physical face off in my 2nd year at the Freshers Fair with the entire University Rugby Team who thought it was funny to trash the LGBT Society stand in the middle of the event. Thankfully, the SU and AU reps backed me and booted the Rugby Team from the event and froze their funds.

Oh, there was for sure. But at my Uni (Staffs) it got shut down quickly. We had a pretty effective SU at the time. Not afraid to pull funding from any groups who acted in a bigoted manner. Or have bigots ejected from the union.
