u should be fine but I'd say test it before installing the optional just so you can troubleshoot if that's the cause or not

yea this looks okay, not sure what would cause that..
perhaps disable FFKeepUI / FFRestoreUI in the preset if you're using that?
can u open ur reshade overlay and screenshot your add-ons tab?
3rd best one, but yeah im waiting for splatoon 4 or something on switch 2, they can do alot on the new hardware!!!

yeah ReShade is finicky, each preset uses the same general shaders though so the problem may persist across preset collections.
if you use gposingway its probably the most "stable" way to use ReShade github.com/gposingway/gposingway

but it you use gposingway I think it comes with a few other gameplay presets, nael's is good I think

I think this is just an issue with the focus plane or the settings of the DoF. Can you try a different DoF shader and see if it still happens?
I don't get as many messages asking for help with ReShade much anymore though, so I wonder if that's because I don't post as much on my xiv focused accounts anymore or that gposingway is just stopping most of the issues
either that or xiv is just not as popular in general
i think when I was unemployed for a bit it was a good way to keep sane, but I'm busier now so haven't really wanted to work on new update for ipsushade or anything
the only thing I need to do is update the compatibility with new paid shaders, which is boring and will only affect like 0.1% of users
it's weird cuz I'd have to be in the mood to actually help someone in-depth, but across my like 5 years of actually providing a product/service to the community I don't think I've ever not responded to someone's question or problem
im pretty satisfied with my day-to-day activities these days
my irl work is satisfying, and my hobbies are pretty successful and I get to help people alot
I think from making my presets I discovered a satisfaction in being generous with my time
