Someone sent me this photo of my book at @waterstones.bsky.social and I am:

a) Losing my mind;

b) Never going to be able to convince my friends and family I didn't sneak it in there myself.

Get yourself a senator willing to rescue you in a foreign country after your messy president wrongfully deports you…

…seems like a sentence I shouldn’t have to write in 2025 but here we are.

Senator Chris Van Hollen leaves for El Salvador tomorrow to initiate the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Some personal news: the Department of Homeland Security has given me, an immigration lawyer born in Newton, Massachusetts, seven days to leave the U.S. Does anyone know if you can get Italian citizenship through great-grandparents?

They don’t do it because it’s not about crime or justice or even following the law.

It is about terrorizing brown immigrants.

It is about keeping America as white as possible. They’ve admitted it.

This is why Vance, Musk & the rest of them talk about our β€˜free speech’ being under threat while they fast track actual fascism in the USA. It’s a long con & their accomplices are far-right blue ticks with the brains of blancmange.

It was extraordinary. There is, for example, no earthly reason why a little-known radio presenter on a commercial station should have become a national rallying point for Brexit reality simply by telling the obvious truth. (He did have to step down from occasionally presenting Newsnight, though.)

It's funny how the stupidest people of this year - the "Don't worry about what Trump says, he doesn't mean it" brigade - were also the stupidest people of all the Brexit/Truss/Johnson years.
It's not funny how they still occupy almost all of the major roles in the commentariat.

Trump Administration Fires U.S. Aid Workers in Quake Zone in Myanmar The move comes despite Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying the U.S. would still do some humanitarian work while shrinking foreign aid. Democratic lawmakers have denounced the cuts.

Trump administration officials have fired workers for the main American aid agency who were sent to Myanmar to assess how the U.S. could help with earthquake relief efforts, people with knowledge of the actions said.
