I stand in believing people who wish to be idolized are really people who struggle with self worth looking for an external way to validate themselves and /feel/ important
I extend my deepest empathy for people like this, wishing for them to understand their intrinsic value and be able to stand without needing to rely codependent to other people to know their worth
But I also understand its also our responsibility not to enable their wish to be adored this way
What we need is independent stability of self confidence
That isnt to say we shouldn't have communities, supporters and friends that are with us through it all but this way we dont end up relying on others for confidence/stability
I dont wanna see people destroy their own freedom
