Middle East produces 40–50% of intly traded fertilizer. Closing Straight of Hormuz at start of planting season is driving prices up globally. Unless this resolves quickly, it will be big price shock, might affect production. Fertilizer is 15-30% of the cost of most US major crops (corn/wheat/soy).

Ich bin gespannt, wie die Re-Industrialisierung in den USA durch Zölle und die magische Hand des Marktes laufen wird, so ganz ohne entsprechende Arbeitskräfte, Ausbildungsmöglichkeiten, irgend eine Planung oder andere Förderung durch den Staat.
