The fact it took me since September to realise these gardens were here π
Have a fantastic day everyone ππ»
Glad to see Iβm not the only one up at this hour.
It's sadly turning unsettled again for a little while more - probably persisting until at least the third week of March if I dare be a bit pessimistic (would quite like to be wrong!).
The sun has come out, and the temperature has shot up to 13.5ΒΊC here in Reading. Although the sun has literally just gone back in as I'm typing this π€£
Those baby Egyptian geese arenβt so small now - love them π₯Ή
Cloud clearance for any showers from surface heating is probably going to be quite tricky
Visibility from fog is as low as 100 metres on these observations this morning - it should begin to clear more towards the afternoon and evening in most places.
A small risk of showers breaking out tomorrow afternoon/evening from surface heating - not too much CAPE going for it, so risk of anything thundery is fairly low. There's a little bit of developing convergence too which may help to act as extra lift for any showers.
Grim n misty all day - should turn much better tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Proud to say that one of my aurora pictures from the 20th of January has made it to the front cover of March's issue of 'Weather' by @rmets.org.
A similar sky on 22nd February 2021.
The dust is well and truly here, blue sky is incredibly muted.
A panorama of the Saharan dust at sunset here in Herne Bay this evening.
The Saharan dust has certainly moved in - first picture was taken at 12:21 and the second one at 14:18.
17Β°C!
The flies are presumably handing down punishment to anyone who dares to wear shorts this early in March
THROW THOSE CURTAINS WIDE
The dust is coming - it's beginning to show up in ceilometer profiles in western France at La Rochelle and seems to roughly correlate with the purple band seen on satellite imagery here.
Had a crow model for my camera earlier in the fog - seemed rather happy.
Looks like Parker Solar Probe got hit by a fairly fast CME shortly before it began its latest dive into the solar atmosphere.

A very foggy evening here in Herne Bay - never properly cleared.
Can't believe you escaped
Hey guys just enjoying this lovely sunshine, hope you are too ππ»
The fog is taking its jolly sweet time to clear here in East Kent π€£
This fog should clear by this evening although obviously pinning down temperatures and blocking out any sunshine currently π
