In Porto this week.

Iβm temporarily βcarlessβ. Sold yesterday and not getting new one until tomorrow. Odd feeling. (AI pic is not me!)

Watch Out for Salty2FA: New Phishing Kit Targeting US and EU Enterprises
This is how using Comet feels at the moment. I don't really trust it to update things as it often gets them wrong. So if you are watching it so closely is it really saving time ...
Any of my followers need a Perplexity Comet invite?

AI Boosters: Donβt worry, AI will create LOTS of jobs!
The jobs:
A calm sunrise scene at Lake Wenatchee, Washington in 2023. The glassy surface of the lake creates a perfect mirror reflection of the mountain ridge, pink and gold clouds, and surrounding tree line. The foreground reveals the rocky lake bottom beneath the clear water, while the horizon glows with soft pastel hues of dawn. The stillness of the water makes the sky and mountain appear seamlessly doubled, producing a striking symmetrical composition.
Sunrise colors doing their magic.

The logic started that I wasnβt using the professional features enough to justify the cost. Then I thought Iβd try other IDEs.
Becareful cutting and pasting in another window when Comet is posting stuff for you in another window, shared clipboard and all that. Lesson learned!
Yes, I've played about with Zed a bit.
After years and years of paying for PyCharm Professional for personal projects I've decided to let the sub lapse. I've been using Cursor and VSCode more recently and can't justify the cost any more. It is like giving up old slippers though!

It is amazing how much faster it seems chatting with models locally with LM Studo than the normal suspects online.

Yes Iβve seen it.
Another killer use case for @PerplexityComet is posting the same thing in multiple places.

I am starting to think the argument about which coding assistant is better is the wrong one.

A useful use case I've found for Perplexity Comet is getting the address from estate agent listing and popping open a google map (or at least linking it). You can also get it to work out how close to transport links properties are.

There are some really interesting use cases for it I think.
I really like the new @OpenAICodexCli extension for @cursor_ai but the user permission prompts really don't stand-out enough. Everytime I think it is a bit slow it's because it's waiting for me to confirm.

I'm not sure the hype around the Nano Banana is deserved. I asked it to edit a raw image. The original image was a watch and what came back was the RAF roundels. Well the image extension was .RAF ... sometimes AI just makes me laugh.

Come on OpenAI headless auth for Codex is such an obvious use case. I know, I know I can copy the files from another machine.
