the mindtaking consent form is such a boring gag but they keep trying to reuse it. this is the most harvey birdman aspect of the show if you think about it cuz it reminds me of the peter potamous "you get that thing i sent ya?" gag

i like that they knew they couldnt include any hanna barbera characters like before but instead of writing a story with all humans or writing a story with talking animal OCs they instead created a story with all humans and one (1) talking animal OC

judy's new characterization is confusing to me. theyve replaced nearly everything about her? i guess this is what kids in the 70s felt like when they watched harvey birdman tho

i find toilet humour rly grating so this pilot is not funny at all to me but im gonna try next episode too just to give this show a fair chance. i know a lot of shows where the pilot was the worst episode

i know i spoke extensively on tumblr about how i didnt rly mesh with harvey birdman's sense of humour but...um...i think i'd take that over this. i can appreciate bizarre non sequiturs but awkward executive attempts at gen Z quirkchungus dialogue is painful to endure ngl

this seems to be more of a straightforward action cartoon, as birdgirl is an actual superhero here. i dont dislike the art style but it feels much more evocative of something like young justice than hanna barbera at all
