The source for the feed generator, mod tools and jetstream client is now online (hacky, but functional).
In other news, the feeds are shutting down now. @andri.dk needs a break.
Thanks to all of those who have helped test the technical feeds.

Update. Keeping this running a little longer. Donβt have time to develop much though
Thanks! I havenβt quite given up yet so feel free to use the feed
I've enjoyed hacking on #atproto and don't exclude the option of this service returning at some point.
In the meantime, check out @graze.social or the Web Developers feed from @hipstersmoothie.com
Sad news folks. I am archiving this project and shutting down hosting.
- The classifier I've been experimenting with has been promising, but disappointing in finding new tech content
- Hosting is quickly becoming expensive and time consuming without only ~10 likes.
screenshot of the admin interface for technical.scrolls.org. Two posts visible with tag-actions and tags available.
The admin dashboard for my custom feeds is coming along nicely.
It can search (query, min-score, max-score) and you can add a manual tag indicating if matches #tech in this case. This is then used to train the algorithms for better future results.
Good news everyone!
The classifiers now have deeper context from Bluesky posts (threads, quotes, images, etc).
But, the bad news is that we're starting on a fresh database. So, it might be a few days before the classifier is good again.
I wrote a blog-post about my experience writing a Bluesky feed generator service during the holidays.
Feel free to share or send me a DM if you have questions or comments.

Classifier ran out of memory. Trying to fix it.
Changes:
- Hosted π
- Bayes classifier is coming along nicely
- Moderator tools
- 18 users
- Listening for posts on 5576 accounts
- Storing 20k posts
Thanks. Better to reach out on @andri.dk. This account is mostly used for system purposes.
The little holiday project has totally escalated into a complicated system of services and tiny libraries. If that isn't a good reason to blog about it, then I don't know what is.
Status 2024/12/24:
Most of the plumbing works, and I can now focus on improving the classification algorithms.
Note that this service is under heavy development and I haven't set up hosting for it yet. So don't expect this to replace your "Following" feed just yet.

Technical Scrolls is a project by @andri.dk to create a allow-list feed of technical content with the immediate goal of providing:
# Tech (following)
A personalized feed from your followers that filters out anything that isn't tech related. So, like "Following", except filtered.
