Reaver is coming along, slowly but surely. Got a new LI base for it, and body is almost done except three overplates.

An image of a Dark Angels legion Space Marine in black power armour.
A black and white photograph of a fallen tree in Burnham, cracked and crumbling on the ground.
Due to popular demand, here's every Space Marine legion from Warhammer 40,000 as a document in our collection.
I: Dark Angels
Obviously, they're this photograph of a tree in Burnham. Why this photograph?
The tree has Fallen.
Looks awesome for a first terminator. Cant wait to see the next one.
Neither are mine but close enough.
If you see this, post a robot or two
When the fart breaks bad
The reaver's legs are done. Now on to body.
Part of me died reading this.
I laughed out loud.
I treat the base the same as the rest of the model: prime, paint, and then decorate as needed.
Some will prime and paint before any or bare assembly, but that tends to be the expert painters.
If the former, many people asssemle the models and use a black, white, of Grey primer spray can to coat everything and paint from there. For larger more complicated models partial assembled and then prime, paint, then assemble is called for.
Im sorry, are you referring to base layer of paint, or the round base of the model? I assumed latter but from your response I think I am mistaken lol
Also depends on the size and chunkiness of the model, I.e. does it block access to the base.
Answer is depends. If you are doing simple basing techniques then doing them after/as you using the model is fine. If you are trying to do a more detailed or styled base, you want to do it separately from the model and combine them near the end.
WiP the reaver's legs are coming along. After the cables are painted on to tidying stage, then decals, lightning, and finally wash.

Military strikes will not make us safer; they will inflame tensions & push the region further into chaos β every time we abandon diplomacy, we choose destructionβ
It is amazing, every game is a tight finish and so many ways to play.
I got one of those coming up after the reaver. So detailed!
Both games we've played before, so I cannot recall.
Ive only played a few, and some are more intensive than others, but tiny epic quests is great. Tiny epic galaxies and tiny epic kingdoms are ok too.
Working on a reaver titan and he's a chunky boy. Fortunately I did not completely assemble the model making many of the books and cranies easier to get to.
I'm on a series of large models lately, here are the latest: an imperial Knight inspired by the Knight Amarantine, and a Vulturax automata. #nerdlings #paintingwarhammer #warhammer40k

Old version of a tyranid pyrovore slowly moving forward while its mouth remains open.
Bit rusty, but I still got it.
