The reaver's legs are done. Now on to body.
Part of me died reading this.
I laughed out loud.
I treat the base the same as the rest of the model: prime, paint, and then decorate as needed.
Some will prime and paint before any or bare assembly, but that tends to be the expert painters.
If the former, many people asssemle the models and use a black, white, of Grey primer spray can to coat everything and paint from there. For larger more complicated models partial assembled and then prime, paint, then assemble is called for.
Im sorry, are you referring to base layer of paint, or the round base of the model? I assumed latter but from your response I think I am mistaken lol
Also depends on the size and chunkiness of the model, I.e. does it block access to the base.
Answer is depends. If you are doing simple basing techniques then doing them after/as you using the model is fine. If you are trying to do a more detailed or styled base, you want to do it separately from the model and combine them near the end.

It is amazing, every game is a tight finish and so many ways to play.
I got one of those coming up after the reaver. So detailed!
Both games we've played before, so I cannot recall.
Ive only played a few, and some are more intensive than others, but tiny epic quests is great. Tiny epic galaxies and tiny epic kingdoms are ok too.
Working on a reaver titan and he's a chunky boy. Fortunately I did not completely assemble the model making many of the books and cranies easier to get to.
