Well the article only concerns itself with income inequality. And "income" as usually measured is a lot less relevant with increasing wealth, as most capital gains aren't treated as income. And afaik wealth inequality did increase. So I'd suggest a more wholistic view of inequality.
Achieving climate targets is primarily limited by politics, institutions and humans, not technology, solutions or money.
