people need to get more willing to tell their friends when they're wrong. friendship doesn't equal unquestioning support nonstop. yeah, you might fight and you might lose some friends. i think that's better than constantly avoiding conflict and building up anxiety.

I kept going for my nana and my cat. Both are gone. I only have my noni on my mother's side now. She's the only one I feel any untainted love for still, the only one who loves me and makes me feel safe. But, she's old, and when she passes away nothing will tether me to this world

To clarify my groomer made up an entire person, ripped him away, and I only learned it was a lie later. Not that he faked his death and I found out he was alive later. Just. An entire friendship and identity was made up. A whole person I miss everyday who was just a character my abuser made up.

What I'm saying is, if I go through that again, I won't make it this time

While it was all a carefully constructed lie to keep me under his finger, and the person was made up in the end... I'm still ravaged by the trauma of losing a friend to suicide at a young age, and being convinced what I'd suffered was real for like 6+ years onward.

My idiot coworker who's a very clueless gay guy voted for Trump but now is nervously asking everyone why they think Elon did the Nazi salute. I can hear the regret and concern in his voice when he talks about it. "Haha.. why are people saying told you so.. you guys see that?" Yup, told you so.

Practical shit:

If you're in areas that aren't used to freezing temps, you may want to leave at least one water faucet dripping tonight.

If you're truly concerned and can afford it, fill a bathtub. Losing water is rare in freezing temps but it's but it's been known to happen.
