I'm sure great art directors and optimisation programmers know this and use it in their decisions. Hopefully I'll figure it out aswel.

But I'm playing it myself now, and my eyes are locked on a 1-inch collectable ahead of me for the whole game. I literally don't see the optimisations happening around it. In my memory it's a different looking game.

I saw my wife play Pokemon Arceus and there's tiling textures and models popping in like crazy. It looks so empty it's nuts.

One crazy thing I never hear people talk about is how games look so different when WATCHING them vs PLAYING them.

Lol thanks for the content warning!
They think "an Xbox game" is "an Xbox title", this was an easy question.
I don't have a cool game update for today, so here's just an unlabelled clip of me testing some fog effects.

Do I have to play Resident Evil Quim before I play Requim
Yeah Resident Evil and Metal Gear are not a million miles apart! I'd love that
I always felt like Dark Souls just IS Ghosts n Goblins
Are we allowed to say Red Bull or are energy drinks just here forever?
The Starbucks Pumpkin-Spiced Latte has to be up there
I bought so many cool-looking beers only to open it, try it, and say "oh it's one of these"
There are tens of thousands of IPAs and they basically taste like socks-lemonade.
INFLUENCER.
This game is such a fun mix of tone! It feels poppy and then legit dangerous.
I usually do love when a story cuts off the ending. I think up the 2 or 3 things that might happen, and it really makes me think about what I want for those characters, and what it was all about. It's a really cool technique.
And yes I think everyone else usually hates it.
The Sopranos famously cuts out mid-scene for you to imagine what the end of the show might have been.
It really makes you think about what you wanted to happen.
I found people like when the animals interact.
So here's a bear getting sprayed by a skunk.

There's like a juggling act of things going slightly wrong to end up here, but I do think they have enough data on every game to make it more useful.
Yeah I'm finding this a lot too, I'm always cleaning up after my stupid fast ideas.
Oh nnooooo... wait that's not it
Wow that's an exciting one!
Can't wait for this game to hit PC in March
It turns out I HAD met Xbox's Phil Spencer while standing there, and talked to him about our game being on Xbox for 15 minutes. No idea who he was, I thought he was just some dude at PAX who loved Xbox.
Phil Spencer
If you google "Phil Spencer" with a British account in 2013, the first few results were photos and interviews with the host of Location Location Location, Phil Spencer. So that's who I was looking out for.
