#Ted is a hilarious, raunchy show set in 1992, featuring some of the same cast as Seth MacFarlane’s other series, The Orville. The titular bear is also shown reading comic books; specifically Groo the Wanderer #1 (1982).
I just finished watching #MadMen (2007–2015), which I enjoyed. It explores identity, creativity, and the cost of corporate success in the 1960s advertising world. Bert Cooper led me to watch what almost feels like a prequel: How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, starring the same actor.

I couldn’t get into Mad Men a few years ago. But maybe it’s because I’ve watched alot of old movies by now, I understand the references. I’m at the end of season 2 now and am enthralled. So far it feels like a man who lost himself into Madison Avenue society of the early 1960s and I’m digging it.

Jackie Ormes was among the first African American women cartoonists. She created Torchy Brown for the Pittsburgh Courier (1937–1940), a strip syndicated in Black newspapers about a Mississippi teen singer at New York’s Cotton Club.
Captain America 136, 1971 has a mind-staggering splash page with Gene Colan pencils and Bill Everett inks. It really sucks both the reader and Captain America into the story. Who wrote this, Stan Lee or Artie Simek? Maybe Artie the letterer is trying to tell us something.
Does anyone remember these? November 1986 25th Anniversary Marvel covers. As a fifth grader, this was the official year that I was full steam ahead in #comics, and it was Classic X-Men and Dark Knight Returns that the comic kids in my class were talking about nonstop that year.
