Yr #9. Phenomenal middle grade historical fiction mystery. Would make a great classroom read aloud! Absolutely loved every moment at Bletchley Park (and I canβt wait to visit it someday!)! #mglit #historicalfiction #readaloud #BookSky
Yr #8. What I love about reading Schneider Family Book Award winners is the new perspectives and empathy I gain. #yalit #schneiderfamilybookaward #booksky
My #Resources2Love for my 7th graders - @commonlit.org & @newsela.bsky.social. Used them both regularly to differentiate texts. @keepinlearning.bsky.social #EduSky
Yr #7. Iβm not a celebrity memoir reader; however, something tells me itβs not your usual βcelebrityβ who is writing White House policy. π Loved absolutely every page and closed the book with lots of good things to think about. #books #booksky #governerds
Yr #6. A quick little read to accompany my walk through the Psalms. I might pickup others in this series.
My new approach to staying sane - always have something (even small) and rather immediate to look forward to. Todayβs: book club tonight. π©·
Whatβs your βthingβ?
Yr #5. I liked it, but I donβt get the hype. What I enjoyed most was how Phoebe begins to find her voice as the story unfolds. Not upset I read it, just not sure this will be one I recommend. #BookSky
Yr #4. This book and Psalms kicked off my January morning devotions time. I can easily see reading this book at the start of each year. Thoughtful, practical, short chapters make it a perfect fit for my mornings. π©· #books #BookSky
Just finished watching The Six Triple Eight on Netflix. I am not a movie watcher, but I could gladly start this one again right now.
This is the PERFECT Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Day weekend movie.
Tyler Perry and crew hit a walk-off grand slam home run with this film.
#TheSixTripleEight
Yr #3. What a fun middle grade read! 0% surprised that Hoosier kiddos would honor this book with a Young Hoosier Book Award. Math teacher friends, this would make a fun read aloud for you! #BookSky #Books #MGLit
Yes! Made the change in November (I think). Whine I switch to color, itβs so jarring now! Took me a bit to get used to Wordle in b&w!
What do you notice? What do you wonder? These are my books for todayβs The Lit Gals show on @keepINLearning YouTube channel (live at 3:30 PM ET or searchable later). I wonβt have time to talk about all of them, so check out the show notes. Guesses on the show theme? #BookSky #EduSky
Yr #2. Read in preparation for next The Lit Gals show on award winning books. Oh is this one worthy! Loved living senior year with Effie. #YALit at its finest! @claire4est #schneiderfamilybookaward @keepinlearning.bsky.social #books #BookSky
Always!!!!
Yr #1. Nothing like starting the year with a stretch read. This is a who-done-it historical fiction mystery set it Lisbon in the early 1500s. #OddThirdThirdThursdayBookClub #BookSky
Starburst jelly beans and Diet Cokes were my go-to answers.
My top reads for the year - 6 MG/YA and 9 adult reads #books #BookSky
Yr #62. Maybe the most fun book I read this year! Maggie and Ethanβs dynamic was so fun to see unfold. Iβm not ready to say βbyeβ Maggie; I think thereβs a more somber story of herβs to tell. Bottom line - I just love Ally Carter! #books #BookSky
Yr #61. EXCELLENT read! Absolutely Schneider Family Award worthy! Maudie held my heart as I walked through her adventures of summer break with her dad. Iβll think about this book for a while. π©· #yalit #BookSky #SchneiderFamilyBookAward #Books
Year #60. Stunningly beautiful epic novel. Rich characters & thoughtful setting & perfectly-paced plot. Typically about 100 pages from the end, Iβm ready for the story to wrap up; that was not the case with this book. My only regret? Leaving this one in the TBR pile far so long. #BookSky #books
A sandwich I didnβt eat as a child but I love them as an adult.
A great 25 minutes of books, laughs, tech issue, and a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT. The Lit Gals show is always a good time! #BookSky @keepinlearning.bsky.social youtube.com/live/M5VxWNZ...

Cover of book βLife on Svalbardβ by Cecilia Blomdahl showing her sitting overlooking a small town at night. Mountains in the background and northern lights in the sky
Yr #59. π©·π©·π©· 1) THIS is why I read - to experience places & lives I will never have. 2) the photographs in this book are STUNNING. Oh to have students to share this with so they could see just how diverse our beautiful planet is! This is a quick read which will stick with you. #book #BookSky
Year #58. Sadie is an honest, caring narrator who I want to spend more time with. Readers from 7th grade and up will appreciate her sharing her struggles and experiences with anxiety. (And this transracial adoptive mom loved Jacksonβs storyline and wants to know more!) #yalit #BookSky
1. Off to look them up
2. Not sure Iβve had their pizza. Good pasta. Had Futuro?
3. SO good!!!
