Well it’s different from any other berry or fruit. Tastes a bit like mango. Cold pressed juice is “oily”, and the oil is supposed to be super healthy 👍🏻 We drink sea buckthorn juice sweetened or make a nice layered “kisel” type dessert with custard 😋
The #seabuckthorn is a wild fruit shrub but it can be cultivated commercially. The berries, rich in vitamins and antioxidants are considered a #superfood. The taste is something like mango x citrus fruits 🧡 Image from an allotment garden.
I always enjoy going to the market! They still have fresh cranberries. Saw some #cranberry and #seabuckthorn juice. You get a discount if you take 3 bottles 👍🏻
This is one of our Christmas traditions. We’ll leave some for the humans, it’s Christmas after all 🤣🌟
Here’s one for you! The ones that aren’t perfectly symmetrical are the most interesting. And then there’s the taste & smell of saffron 😋
The one that’s shaped like a 18th century wig is “the priest’s hair” obviously 😃
They’re traditional Christmas buns, sweet, the dark bits are raisins. They have a nice yellow colour although you can’t really see it in photos. Different shapes have names like “the priest’s hair” 😃
Okay, we made saffran buns today. I was a bit time consuming, but worth it. The round one on top is called The Wheel of Sun, perfect on #wintersolstice 😊🎄🌟
