I appreciate you all for listening to this silly little diatribe, but I’m so excited to embrace Renard as who I am. I always have been, and always will be, a fox with a story.

—everything he’s done for me. But I’ve never felt connected to a character as I do with Renard, and I know I’m my heart that this is the right move to make.

I already had a Bluesky for Renard to promote my writing projects, and that’s going to be my main account going forward, while this one—

—a character from a story, and he wasn’t like Hot Wings who was a character developed for my local community. He was 100% me.

His character is still undergoing design tweaks, but I’ve come to the decision to move to Renard as my fursona. I love Schande to death, and I’m forever grateful for—

—after how I actually look. As time went on and as I started writing more, the closer I felt to Renard, and the more distant I felt from Schande. And I was never really sure why until recently.

Renard is the first character I developed that was entirely for me, right from the start. He wasn’t—

—From there, I developed the name Renard Avec-Histoire which means “Fox with a story” in French. I never planned on it being more than just a name, but when I decided to put a face to it, I knew I wanted him to be different from Schande. As I started to develop his design, I started to model him—

—an old hobby of mine, writing. I’ve been writing fiction in some form or another since my young childhood. It was always my favorite part of the video-making process. When I first started writing my novel, I came up with a pen name, because I felt like I wanted to separate writing from YouTube—

—on the YouTube scene as Schande. I loved who he was, but part of me always felt disconnected from him to some degree, because in reality I knew I could never fully embody him by design.

Over the years, I moved on from my desires of being a youtuber, and a couple years ago, I started to pick up—

—and as I designed his character, I sort of designed him to be the person I wished I could be, not the person I actually was. He was fun, skinny, outgoing, and unabashedly proud of who he was. I played that character for ten-plus years, got a fursuit and everything. Spent years trying to make it—

So, big announcement time.

For a while now, I’ve not really felt connected to Schande as my fursona. The way he came to be, he was never intended to represent me as my fursona. He started as the main character in a story I was writing when I was younger. I ended up adopting him as my fursona—
