I realize this was a grim way to say I agree with you 🙃 but sometimes I felt like the only person raging about how bad driver behavior has gotten and I really, really feel where you are coming from. It’s hard to explain how bad it is without sounding like you are exaggerating.

In most ways both of my dogs dying has ruined my mental health but one way it has improved is I don’t start every day seething about asshole drivers nearly killing us on our morning walk.

Coming from the northwest was wild too. Crossed the bridge on Kinzie and it was at least 10 degrees colder all of a sudden.

I forgot how scary it is to ride on busy streets when you haven’t done it in a while. It’s wild what we are willing/able to tolerate once we get used to it.

Even though it’s gonna get colder throughout the day today I’m still gonna #bikechi to work for the first time in months. Also hoping the forecasts that say it won’t rain/storm until later tonight are true!

And regarding boxing, wrestling moves are pretty much designed to look cool while not actually injuring your opponent. I think fake boxing would be much harder to pull off or maybe just much more boring because it’s *just* punching.

Part of that might be the difficulty in scripting something like tennis or baseball in a live setting; it’s not easy to make the ball go where you want/script it to go. In wrestling the performers just have to be working together (and it’s more ad-libbed/improv than move-by-move scripted, btw.)

There’s even a guy I used to see when I walked the dog early in the morning who didn’t have a remote starter but would go outside in the winter in his pajamas to start his car and go back inside to let it warm it up. Like what??? Why!!!!!!?????

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: I will believe gas prices are “too high” when and only when the people in my neighborhood stop using remote starters to idle their car for 10 min every morning.
