This has some excellent advice for anyone that's feeling a little lost light now. Everyone is lost, even those we look to for news. There's going to be a sea of poor information. Do your best not to contribute to it.
I disagree. You're characterising it as a movement and campaign, which it's neither. People are not being judged for participating.
Someone made a statement about why she was no longer participating to those in her circle because people kept asking.
Other people changed their plans based on it.
That confusion is understandable, but it's certainly not an organised movement. Just one person explaining why she'd stepped away, which ended up with a few others deciding to do the same.
Honestly, I'd have imagined the response of removing the website was the reason most people noticed at all.
And I can understand that, but nobody was calling for a boycott, or expecting others to join them. The language you've used in this thread very heavily implies, if not outright states that they are.
In fact, searching this very site for the words boycott and Dosember only brings up your posts on it

Nobody wants anyone to boycott anything. The statement was an explanation of the events that caused her to step away from DOSember, because people kept bringing it up after she tried to step away quietly
