Today, we're expanding access to the Live Now beta to everyone.
This experimental feature lets you add a temporary LIVE badge to your avatar, helping others discover that you're currently live-streaming on Twitch. They can click it to land directly on your stream page.

Heads up! There's still alot of internet infra that's relying on @cloudflare.social who's currently having some network issues Globally. Secondlife.Bio isn't currently affected.

Graze.social experiencing some technical difficulties right now, some bluesky feeds are offline.

AWS is being reported to still have some issues after its outage, and since #SecondLife is running on AWS, wonder if we might experience issues as well.
A mini DDoS emerged on our systems earlier today, didn't bring anything down, but keeping our eyes on this. Highly likely that it's not targeted at us but the regional aws and cloud infra we're sitting on.
Oh, possibly related to the AWS outage earlier today as well.

Hope everyone is doing well! Some good news and updates on secondlife.bio
Firstly, a huge shout out and thank you to everyone who stayed on board after the service outage last month! 🙏With your support. we've just surpassed over 500 members in the #SecondLife community! 🎉🤯
We will monitor the situation over the weekend when there will be the usual traffic increase and follow up, depending on what we see over the weekend.

Also, after further consultation, the community handles code that runs our service has the ability to cache certain responses, which we are trying out now while monitoring database performance.
This should take some strain off the database for repeated secondlife.bio handle lookups
Hi #SecondLife friends, here's a further update on the outage investigations - our service provider has shared:
The increased compute usage appears to be normal. It seems there are active connections throughout most of the day, which prevents the database from scaling to zero during idle periods.
So please bear with us while we investigate and try to improve our services!
