one of the weirdest things abt online art discourse esp around music is the total antipathy to comparison, like as if comparing/finding connections is this violent move done to diminish the sacred individuality of a piece of work (or worse, the artist)

yeah i definitely agree, i feel like in a funny way it's a weird dilemma that exists where the author(s) of the seires has this story they want to portray to an audience where the only way they can do it at the time (thinking of mamoru hosoda and digimon: our war game / summer wars)...
its been a little while since i last saw it but i remember war in the pocket having quite a distinct anti-war sentiment to it.. it's the only gundam i have seen so far but i would like to watch more some time soon
