Sneasler was actually considered the best mon in one of the formats this gen! There's definitely room for great poison mons!

It could! Poison feels like a type they'd buff to hit whatever the new one strong again like they did last time

Honestly I think poison as a type is pretty solid they just need to make more good offensive poison mons since most of the existing ones lean pretty much just into defense.

Sure it only hits two types super effectively, but damn near EVERY team will have those two types on it, so its not Bad

Last time they introduced a real type it was specifically to nerf the type on the highest amount of Good Mons and buff the two weakest offensive types.
I have to imagine that if they do it again, it would be with a similar purpose (Nerfing fairy and buffing like, idk Bug or something)

I wouldnt be opposed to a new type i just dont think it should be sound. I don't want to lose Hyper Voice as the go-to special attacking normal move. I don't want them to buff Rillaboom with what would almost definitely be the new best type in the game.

Its really weird to me that pokemon fans are so fixated on Sound as a type that Could Happen because imho it works way better as-is where it's just a subcategory that gets affected by certain abilities, something that isnt unique to it, than it would as a full type.

Tbh i do genuinely like bravely default/second more than actual FF5.
They just have more interesting class design which makes a big enough difference to offset the flaws to me.
