I click the installer exe in bottles (basically just a GUI for wine) and if that doesn't work I CBA to even try because from prior experience I know that even if I spend several hours installing every single dependency that it still probably won't work

it's just a normal option i can tick in the VM settings. but it's not like you really need 3D acceleration for FL. I use the VM exclusively for FL, everything else including gaming and video/photo editing I just do in linux

after several years of trying to get fl working with wine, a week or so I just gave up and installed an airgapped windows 10 VM. like FL itself works fine but may god help you if you need to do anything else with it, for example install VSTs

not only did they get back to me, they sent me the whole 7 page PDF specifying EVERYTHING in the transformer from the tech specs to even the physical construction of the thing

the new nut of the guitar, it is a white solid piece of bone which the strings rest upon

the strings tied to the bridge of the guitar. as far as I know they're well attached and shouldn't be able to slip at all

baby finally got new tuning hardware, saddles, and strings. she sings beautifully now :) I haven't played in years so I'm very rusty but it's all coming back. I think I did a shit job with tying the strings to the tuning posts? but they hold and they work so I guess it doesn't really matter?

I've emailed Mackie about the transformer, here's hoping they can help me. It wouldn't be a massive loss to lose the 50€ I invested on this but if the option to not do that instead is there, I'd rather do that

it's fucked up because as I said the rest of the system is in absolutely pristine condition. it's just this one singular component that is not working correctly which kills the whole system. if you have any ideas, feel free to let me know

I hate to say it but this mixer might just be completely done for. I don't know what the outputs are supposed to be so I can't do anything about it. I can't rewind the transformer with new wire and can't replace the whole PSU with a switch mode one because I don't know what the system wants

ah, of course the transformer is some random brand I've never heard of and the markings on it produce no search results

the PSU board itself looks pristine and there is also a fuse on it which is unharmed, so it's most definitely the transformer

a blown fuse, the inside of the glass is coated in black material

so I got a half-amp 250V slow blow like the chassis said, turned it on, and the fuse blew immediately. didn't even get a blink of a light on the front panel, so I'm thinking the problem is either in the power supply board or the transformer - I'm leaning towards the latter

may have some exciting news coming in the next two weeks or so

I remember adding momentum mod to my steam wishlist like a couple of years ago and never heard anything about it since, are they still making it or

thank hell that that is over with. but the thing is, I finally got the main PCB off and checked all the caps and they all seem to (at least visually) be brand new. I have no idea why this thing would keep burning fuses. maybe the previous owner didn't use slow blows like the chassis says?
