Before the AZ/RMZ lines, I wouldn’t have thought that would happen any time soon, but with Trinity Liger finally having a model kit, we’ll have to see if these lines last a while.

Also, speaking of Rainbow Jerk, I hope that they also do something with the Genesis-era designs. I think that this was the peak of the "old school" motorized Zoids designs, when they tried to start making them look more organic, before HMM introduced the idea of adding even more details.

Also, it took me at least two attempts to get the wings looking right, and I just had to keep tracing over each attempt until I got it right, and make the previous layers invisible/delete them.

On paper, you're gonna have it harder, especially since perspective is gonna make them look wonky.

Pretty much what I did with Battle Cougar. Referred to the HMM concept art of Shield Liger and Blade Liger to fill in the details, but without my Hasbro Battle Cougar, it would have taken at least twice the time to get the shapes down!

I think that the Grade-ups have some of the most potential for the AMZ redesigns. They were clearly rushed out during the OJR line-up without the refinement of the earlier designs, but that just leaves so much room for interpretation!

I recall you saying that you weren’t good at drawing mechs, but this is easily basic concept art levels. Seems that you sketched this while looking at Rainbow Jerk and Berserk Fuhrer for reference. That’s the first step to drawing mechs (and I still do this myself!

I've found myself procrastinating putting in the time to post my final update for the Worker/Maintenance Godos. Not just on this platform, but have a dozen others. Used the intervening time before client responded to my message to practice lighting/shading. I will be moving onto something else now.

People were talking about poultry #Zoids in the Discord server I'm in and I couldn't help myself lol.
Mostly it's a Rainbow Jerk body/legs with some components from the Berserk Fury around the neck; I wanted to give it the ability to poof it's neck feathers up like real chickens do.

That's not unintentional. I've always felt that the Weyland/Caterpillar P-5000 looked functional, and was the first (and only) reference I could think of on which to base the primary loading arms.

And most work vehicles have that high-visual yellow...

More work on the Godos Maintenance Worker. Since I haven't heard from my client, I've been using the concept art as a way to safely practice with lighting/shading. It will help when I no longer have to look to references to decide where to place the highlights and darks. Also worked more on the back-mounted arms. The telescoping arm is actually influenced by Kotobukiya design, which seems to be a common element for parts that need to extend away from the main body.

I also worked on a logo for Panova, which is apparently a Zoidian company responsible for manufacturing the Twin Anti-Air Beam Cannons mounted on the tails of Bigasaur, Gordos, Mammoth, and Gojulas. I figure that they might manufacture other types of Zoids equipment aside from weapons. I might end up simplifying the logos further. The typeface is in Zoidian, since Panova was around in-universe before the human arrived.

Sadly, creativity does not always translate to qualities like wisdom or informative.

Another concept artist who I’ve long admired is a Trump supporter. I still love and admire his work, that never changed, but it’s hard to hold him with the same respect and admiration from before.

If I had the money, I’d pay for tutorials just to learn how to “sketch” like that!

Guess I still have a lot to learn regarding coloring/shading/lighting! *Shrugs*

Just realized I forgot to post my latest artwork on here. Both commission work.

Inspiration can come from anywhere, from looking at other people’s art, to the colors of an outfit I saw a girl wearing, to the color scheme of a roller coaster’s track support beans and cars.

Anyways, if you agree, feel free to retweet. Or not. I'm sure that someone's already posted the same thing, but it wouldn't take too long or much effort either way. Apologies if I don't reply for a while. I'll be going back to focusing on art, as I finally have a couple of commissions!

And finally, he wants to distract from the possibility that he refuses to release the Epstein files. I'm not going to call HIS indictment of James Comey a mere distraction, because it's far more severe a travesty than that, but we shouldn't lose focus.

Finally, it might sound cynical of me to say, but I think that Trump is behaving the way he is because he KNOWS this, and he wants to intimidate us into sitting down, shutting up, and just taking it, or to create precedent to prosecute anyone who doesn't.

And it is unacceptable for the President of the United States to direct any political party to redistrict an entire state to give people who are unhappy with his policies less means to change them. And he KNOWS that most US citizens outside his base are very unhappy.

And everyone else shouldn't have to tighten their pocket books either, when billionaires hold so much economic and political power, while much of what people took for granted less than 50 years ago slip more from our fingers. I frankly don't care what they do, so long as it does not effect me.

Spending money that I had been setting aside for an annual pass for Sea World/Busch Gardens this fall due to economic uncertainty isn't something that I should have to do. I'm sure that most people have things that they were looking forward to themselves. I myself want to save up to travel.

Trump has not been focusing on things that should be priorities, and is quite frankly stealing attention away from addressing them. If you're not pissed about the lack of affordable housing, high grocery prices, and rising health care costs, then you should be!

In my case, it's the parts necessary to keep the roller coasters/rides I love functioning, to Zoids, which have only recently been showing up in select retail establishment for the first time in YEARS, and I'd very much like to continue to do so!

We shouldn't lose sight of the fact that Trump's unilateral tariffs, besides being unconstitutional, because they are a form of tax, are raising the price of most things, from essentials like pharmaceuticals, clothing, and automobiles, to things that just make life worth living!

If I'm posting on Twitter about anything except for science fiction-related stuff, AND taking time away from working on art, you should know by now that I'm in a VERY bad mood. First, even as Trump starts to prosecute HIS enemies, wasting OUR tax money, we shouldn't lose sight.

I picture the trees on Planet Zi forming root networks. I was picturing the neural network of Pandora from Avatar when I was illustrating these, and considered making them phosphorescent, but thought it would be too derivative to be worth the effort.
