Thought it was a Vice article for a second.
@notwillyoung
Neither Dennis Reynolds nor Larry David, but you'll probably call me Dennis anyways. Cape Town born, half Irish, Manchester raised, London based. Basically a mongrel. Manchester United, Springboks, Stormers, and Proteas.
Thought it was a Vice article for a second.
White South African here. This is our two time reigning world champion rugby team ๐๐ป There is no genocide.
Wasn't a red in a million years anyways.
He's played 2 Premier League games and his mistake today (and it was a mistake to come off his line) cost City 2 points. Far too early to be calling him one of the signings of the summer on such a small sample size.
Donnarumma was in no man's land for Arsenal's goal today...
That was an absolutely excellent game of football ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
What lips?
About a week ago in my experience.
You definitely notice the drop-off when an England tour is broadcast on TNT. Sky are unrivalled in my opinion.
I'm all for teams like Palmeiras and Boca getting a seat at the top table. I'm originally from South Africa so I'll be watching Sundowns play tonight too. I'm not arguing there should be a tournament that brings clubs from all over the globe together, I'm arguing that this version of it isn't it.
It's a tournament to crown the "best" club team in the world and it's without the league champions from the top 3 leagues in the world. The measure of it's "success" was already made redundant long before we realised audiences were apathetic.
Well, you've answered the question. The issue people have isn't with the US, its with the tournament itself. And if the tournament isn't a draw then what are we doing here?
That's how these major tournaments work. Games are played on weekdays and in the afternoon, as has always been the case. I doubt there'd be such a bad turnout for Serbia vs Ecuador in the same timeslot and if the argument is that there would be then maybe the US shouldn't be hosting next year's WC?
I don't think even Real Madrid would stand in the way of one of their best players if they were 31 and the Saudi's were offering the kind of money being reported. I don't think the club are going to push him out the door, but if he decides he wants to go then I can't see the club turning down ยฃ100m+
I thought we were the better of two pretty poor teams, but I doubt that's going to stop everyone losing their minds. What our season could've done with the momentum of more goals. Even when we get chances we have come up against keepers/defenders who have had worldies.
At least I'll have my Thursday's back next season. Silver linings.
I've defended Onana until I've been blue in the face but Jesus Christ he has that United defence absolutely shitting bricks.
Palace fans are the best in the Premier League by the way.
"Play all the kids" which is what Amorim does and now everyone is kicking off because they're predictably getting spanked by a good side away from home...
Getting old ain't fun.
I'm guessing they were worried United would end up scoring 4, 5, and 6. The only positive outcome after 3-0 with 10 men was not for it to be any more.
And by champagne I mean we didn't shit the bed and panic and cause issues for ourselves. Been ages since I've seen us play with that level of composure.
Absolute champagne football in the second half by the way. Managed that game so well once we went 3-0 up.
Bilbao strong defensively ๐ค๐ป United can't score goals for shit.
I'm sort of at the stage now where I feel like if you spend all your spare time slagging the team and the players off that you shouldn't be allowed to celebrate the good times. Only seems fair.
During the game too.
What's going on here?
It'll always baffle me why UEFA make the referee appointments they do. How is a guy who referees in Slovenia taking charge of a Champions Leauge semi-final?
Got ya! A lot of rumours starting to spread now...
