time this sort of thing happens, and it does in fact change hockey culture to make it more inclusive, and less morally inept in the future. It may not be the outcome many wanted today, but hopefully the fallout and change from it is very real going forward.
They lost at least 2 seasons (hopefully more if fans make their voices heard), a lot of money in their prime (hopefully more), and their reputations are shot. Hopefully other young players remember that and act with more respect in the future and the legacy of this trial becomes it being the last
