Yeah, we both went to uni in our 40’s. I ended up teaching for a couple of years while she carried on studying.
When I was teaching at uni, I was also in a relationship with a student. We got married years before that though.
I have been working on my pattern editor app, plus a little more progress an my stamped bookmark. Looking forward to doing a new release of the software, hopefully with a redesigned UI.

Not much to show for #WipWednesday, but I have been busy reworking and refactoring the code behind my #CrossStitch pattern editor. It grew organically so was quite a mess, but I am about 50% through refactoring. Hoping to add some more features and improve the UI too.
The Chinese factory workers probably need it.
I’d like to see one where they try, and fail, to restore Jay Blades’ reputation. Then have them explain why it was impossible.
Chillies today, I might add a bit more lighting as they seem a bit leggy maybe?
I’m also going to redesign the user interface on Stituation Critical, I’m not skilled at it, but I am sure even a dog could do better than the current one. #CrossStitch
My cross stitch software never followed a formal design so the code is not as well structured as well as it should be. Anyway, I’m going to formalise the design and start refactoring it this weekend.

It’s a long way to go and I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be allowed in lol. I am planning a trip to York museum this year, I last visited it in 1984.
I’m absolutely embracing my inner train nerd again, so was reminiscing about commuting between Tile Hill and Birmingham New Street when I was a teenager. Anyway, this is a class 310 EMU photographed at Coventry platform 3, so it’s extremely likely I have been on this beauty several times.
Time is still short for me, so doing small bits on this stamped bookmark. Hoping to get a bit more time this weekend though.

It’s #WipWednesday! I haven’t done much #CrossStitch this week as I have been busy with other things. I started a stamped bookmark though as it is easy to pick up and put down. I have a couple of software projects on the go as well.
