Bridgend College RCN King's cadets received their certificates this week. Great work all. #futurenurses
Today we hosted students from Mulberry Academy Trust at our HQ in London. During their time with us they learnt IPC via correct handwashing, BLS, received a library tour, gave us their thoughts on what a nurse does and had a chance to question RCN staff on all things nursing.
Do you reckon the staff feel safe? π€¦ββοΈ
And have a quiet word with the NMC about numeracy and literacy standardsπ
If itβs in a corridor itβs not care. Itβs a forced expedient on staff who are desperately struggling to avoid harm. A struggle that inevitably leads to harm all the same. Demoralising and dehumanising for all concerned.

You do know itβs kinda dangerous to πͺπͺTake it from one who knows πGreat causes all the same. Donation coming at atcha. Ymlaen

We've written to the Health Secretary Wes Streeting MP, and NHS England calling for an end to treating patients in unsafe spaces.
After pressure from the RCN & a coalition of partners, NHS England has indicated they will begin to report cases of corridor care this month. β¬οΈ https://buff.ly/3DPPpV2ο»Ώ

What Nicola says π
As usualπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
The missing link here is the nursing workforce.
Nursing is crucial to a better future for health and social care, but there are tens of thousands of vacancies across every part of the system and every region in England.

27% of healthcare workers in NHS Wales have taken up the vaccine. Very surprising given it is the NHS deploying the science, and to many more vulnerable people than ourselves.

Owning heritage by hosting RRC/ARRC recipients at RCN HQ π
And this statement needs to be repeated again and again and again
She was there before Elvis, Little Richard or Johnny Cash swiveled their hips and strummed their guitars. If you've never heard Sister Rosetta Tharpe, the godmother of rock 'n' roll, you should.
