what the fuck is going on, I didn’t permit anyone to share my net worth
if you ever want to roast me to the marrow, walk into my house and shout “oo-wee it smells like bean juice in here”
It’s been another fucked up and deeply dark week in the world. I've spent today listening to YANKEE BASTARD, PURA MANÍA, REEK MINDS, CROSS, ABYECTA, WORLD I HATE, and more.
Perhaps you’d like some stellar hardcore to fuel your righteous rage. Find it on my reader-supported punk column.

may I never return to SXSW 🕯️
new podcast on six excellent punk albums and which Pokémon @ninacorcoran.bsky.social and I have encountered in the pit irl
the world tour
dudes in there sounding like they’re doin burpees bc they don’t believe in leafy greens
releasing the footage would ruin the tour
A blog about another dark and strange month, finding a silver lining during family time, and ofc, a playlist of excellent punk songs from February 2026
oh my goodness this record *rules*
I’m listening to Station Model Violence’s album based on the recommendation of @see-saw.fun
stationmodelviolence.bandcamp.com/album/statio...
Listened to the first Station Model Violence record this morning. It’s so damn good. One of those records where I knew instantly that it will be a favorite for years to come.
the first new album to make me cry in 2026 is the self-titled debut by station model violence. I wrote three paragraphs about it. play it loud.
there's a ton of great new stuff this week. two absolutely stellar records on Static Shock Records, the return of Mark Ryan's odex? read all about it.
thanks Julia aka My Mum Had a Mullet for the chat
“I'm kind of just on this very, very long, gradual walk toward getting my ass kicked.” -Evan Minsker
I don't know why it’s going to happen, but one day, that's where I'll find myself.
see hyphen saw dot fun 🍕
every month, @ninacorcoran.bsky.social and I offer up the bonus podcast see/saw jukebox. together with some punk rocker guests, we curate perfect punk records. Philadelphia heroes ERASER absolutely crush the assignment here. a blast of a conversation; sub to see/saw ❤️
if you're surprised by Jacob Frey's inaction beyond his great big f-word, you should probably know that this guy sucking at his job is the creative fire beneath one of my favorite punk tapes of 2025
listen to the wildly underrated South Minneapolis band U.T.A.I.
exactly one Dessner butt
Bleachers is a fourth-rate Magic!
an honestly classic episode of the PUNK THIS WEEK podcast where @ninacorcoran.bsky.social and I fully underline that our co-host dynamic/aesthetic is Oscar and Slimy. six deeply sick new records + discussions of a revelatory grilled cheese and a ranking of Chicago dog toppings.
a total privilege when Rocco Tenaglia III + Doug Coombe document crucial new Detroit rock'n'roll for see-saw.fun
Mod Lang are such a stellar live band, their new album is sick, and as this conversation shows, money's being left on the table by not giving them a Monkees-style sitcom
Remember the last time you couldn't stop recommending an album to everyone you know?
Twisted Teens are that band, and they sound like a dusty pedal steel player and a 70-year-old chain-smoking auto mechanic playing country punk songs on a front porch
needed this
A few truly unbelievable punk + rock'n'roll records came out this week. If you haven't tried the new Mod Lang record, go do it and see that band live ASAP. Don't sleep on Aswan Dam (mem. Uranium Club). The new Heather the Jerk tape is a classic. It's PUNK THIS WEEK.
@ninacorcoran.bsky.social and I achieve stolen valor by talking about Grimace lore one episode after @dbanthony.bsky.social's guest spot on the pod. we also talk about the exceptional TWISTED TEENS album and some other heaters on the PUNK THIS WEEK podcast 🍇
