Not only will 2k a year barely make a dent in healthcare costs for most people, his plan includes a cost sharing reduction component. The original ACA provisions also included this and he got rid of it in October of 2017 and that’s one of the reasons premiums skyrocketed.

2. So he could leverage access to those sweet Medicare dollars and get the drug companies to cut a deal with him to offer those meds to other segments of the population via his own drug website.
So the Medicare weight loss drugs coverage thing. The Biden admin had made them eligible for Medicare coverage starting in 2026 but in April of this year the current administration nixed it, only to bring it back in November. Now we know why.
